Blog #3:Hubspot Certification

Hi!!

As of late, I have added Hubspot Academy Social Media Certification to my list of certificates! This web-based certificate allows users to learn inbound social media strategy. I learned so much about operating, creating content for and using business social media accounts.

Some takeaways I learned from this course include:

1.People trust recommendations from individuals over brands. UGC: User Generated Content is an important strategy to use because consumers are going to trust who they already like. A big example of this is the beauty community on Youtube testing makeup products and doing review videos to their subscribers.

2. 67% of the buyers journey is digital. This means more than likely they are seeing the product online, then purchasing it online (versus mall or boutique shopping.) Another big reason to have good digital customer relations.

3. A Social Media Service Level Agreement or SLA is the agreement a company makes to commit to answering social media responses in a specific amount of time. I had personally had no idea that there was such a thing.

4.The difference between social listening and social monitoring: Social listening centralizes conversations about your brand so that you can join them, while social monitoring measures reputation from higher level perspective.

5. Social Clout??? I thought it was a word made up by my fellow Gen Z’s but apparently it’s a real thing and it basically means highest influence over online followers/interacts. Brands specifically look for influencers with high “social clout” to work with to gain brand awareness/sales.

6. Pinterest has the longest life for a piece of content!

7. Instagram stories are the best way to drive traffic and engagement.

8. Content creators are usually behind the scenes of marketing campaigns.

9. Voice is the distinct and steady personality of your brand.

10. Brands do NOT have legal ownership of the content that influencers create about their brand.
